Lauren Allin

Educator
Brief info

Lauren spent her childhood traveling to national parks, exploring museums, zoos, aquariums, and being the kid the teacher would ask to get the bug out of the classroom.

Lauren graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2020 with a BA in environmental studies. She is a lifelong bug lover and resident of Los Angeles County.

While studying at UC Santa Cruz, Lauren took an entomology class that deepened her lifelong appreciation for insects. Her favorite insects are moths! She also has a great affinity for walking sticks and walking leaves. Also, in Santa Cruz, Lauren taught preschoolers about the natural world during an internship on the CASFS farm. This sparked her interest in outdoor education and working with children! After graduation, she went on to become a preschool teacher at an outdoor Waldorf school.

Lauren loves puppets, cats, fashion, going to concerts and museums, being a clown, reading comics, making art, and giving people her stickers! She is excited to explore with all her new HAWKs friends!
