Brief info

When Laura (She/Her) graduated from Westmont College with her B.S. in Biology, she knew she was passionate about plants. She worked in a Tree Physiology lab after college, building upon her previous academic research.

Laura grew up exploring the woods of Connecticut and catching many crayfish. This outdoor experience greatly influenced her love of nature and desire to share this love.

Laura loves learning about the natural world and loves that HAWKS allows her to learn from others as well as teach others. She hopes to pursue learning in the form of a PhD in plant ecology and hopes to work in habitat restoration.

When Laura is not spending time outside identifying plants, she volunteers in her community, attempts acrylic painting, and pets as many dogs as she can find. She is excited to meet fellow nature lovers!
