Brief info

Amanda is an avid hiker, backpacker, and camper, she has explored many corners of Angeles National Forest and almost all of Southern California’s National Parks.

Passionate about environmentalism and sustainability, Amanda is on the volunteer management board of her local community garden and teaches organic gardening at elementary schools with the non-profit EnrichLA. She enjoys a plethora of outdoor activities beyond hiking, including birdwatching, kayaking, nature journaling, snorkeling, and more.

When Amanda isn’t exploring with HAWKS, she’s singing and acting around Los Angeles and beyond. In addition to her professional work, she teaches music and more to young artists with Act One Theatre Camp, Upstage Theatre Schools, and her own private youth voice lessons. She spends the rest of her (minimal) free time baking, crocheting, and snuggling her cat, Jiji.

Amanda loves that she learns something new on every HAWKS adventure — whether from a fellow instructor, a student, or the natural world itself. She can’t wait to see you on the trails!
